Halloween 2009

I'm still recovering from our whirlwind day Saturday! We started at 3:00 in the afternoon, trick or treating at the mall with my sister and her kids. This was our first time, and it was packed with kids young and old! Afterwards we went to Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner with the kids. They had a ball, but all I see at that place is one big germ fest! I made Olivia use hand sanitizer every ten! Not to mention good old hand washing in between. But knock on wood...none of us have gotten sick yet! After pizza and games, we went trick or treating in my sister's neighborhood and then off to the Governor's mansion, where our Governor personally handed out chocolate bars to the kids (we didn't find a golden ticket). Olivia thought that was pretty cool, but she still doesn't know who or what a "Governor" is suppose to be. Hmmm...that was a hard one to explain!

A few weeks ago I discovered this cool website. I could spend hours playing around with my photos, trying all the different effects! I like the Infrared Film with the Vignette effect. It really deepened the red in her costume and made the photo more dramatic, yet not too dark:

And this is just the beginning! These were all available for free, but if you upgrade and pay for a membership there are so many cool effects to try out!

I'll be back later tonight to share a card. And I think I might even try to make a December Daily album again this year...yikes!
