Cute Treats

Every year I try to come up with a cute Halloween treat that does not involve candy. Something that will be appreciated by little kids and big kids alike. This year, I'm making a Halloween version of my coaster Post It note holder:

The square coasters were covered with patterned paper on one side and Orange Zest cardstock on the other. I stamped the orange with black polka dots for a fun surprise when you open the holder. I then used my Bind-it-All to make the holes and added the wire. Since the patterned paper was so cute as is, I added just a minimal amount of embellishing and a cute sentiment from Papertrey Ink's 2009 Halloween Tags set. I stamped a few of the notes, too. These bright green notes worked out perfectly for this project!

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday. The sun is shining here, although it's a chilly 37 degrees this morning! I'm getting ready to pour a nice hot cup of coffee while my husband it outside stacking firewood...brrr....

Stamps: 2009 Halloween Tags, Polka Dot Basics (PTI)
True Black, SS White, Orange Zest (PTI), Boo Crew Ghoul Friends (BoBunny Press)
Fresh Snow, True Black (PTI)
Other: circle punches, square coasters, black o-wire, Bind-it-All (Zutter), Post It Notes (3M)
