Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their second anniversary in style, with tons of giveaways and blog challenges. I have already missed out on a few challenges due to my busy schedule recently, but I was bound and determine to not let another one pass me by! And so here is my take on the “Connect the Dots” sketch challenge:

This is a simple little card that I actually really like – a rarity for me when I’m making challenge cards. When I found this Little Yellow Bicycle patterned paper, I just had to buy it because it coordinates perfectly with Raspberry Fizz. And the Linen Vellum from PTI is a simple, classy touch on this card. I used my long rectangle Nestabilities dies and I love the way it embossed in my Cuttlebug. And you can’t go wrong with pearls if you’re creating a classic look!

Stamps: Heartfelt Basics (PTI)
Ink: Raspberry Fizz, Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Cardstock: Kraft, Raspberry Fizz, Linen Vellum (PTI)
Patterned Paper: Pink Print – Delightful Collection (Little Yellow Bicycle)
Tools: Cuttlebug (ProvoCraft), long rectangle Nestabilities dies (Spellbinders)
Other: self adhesive pearls (Kaiser Scrapbook), felt flower (Stampin’ Up!)

This is beautiful! I have had the linen vellum forever, but not used it...I like this look with the sentiment and I may have to try it, thanks for the inspiration!

I don't know why I never thought to emboss the linen vellum. That looks so pretty for sentiments. Thanks for the idea. :-)
