The Right Combination

If you are anything like me, when you get the combination right, you want to just keep going. Whether it is a card or an outfit, I just can’t resist a good match up. And when I made this card, I just knew I had the right combination of colors and patterns:

I loved this card so much, in fact; I made another with a slightly different design, but with the same elements:

There is just something about that Berry Sorbet and Pure Poppy combination that I really love. The shading is deep and rich. And did you notice the glitter on the second card? I used my Xyron for that, lightly brushing off some of the glitter so that the sentiment would show through better. And Kraft cardstock? What can I say? I still love it! What are your favorite color combinations for Valentine’s Day?

Stamps: Heart Prints (PTI)
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy and Berry Sorbet (PTI)
Cardstock: Kraft, Dark Chocolate and Vintage Cream (PTI)
Patterned Paper: My Mind’s Eye
Tools: Cuttlebug (ProvoCraft), classic and scalloped circle Nestabilities dies (Spellbinders), Label One Nestabilities die (Spellbinders), Crop-a-Dile, Xyron
Ribbon: Berry Sorbet satin (PTI)
Other: foam mounting tape (3M), brass eyelets, Prisma glitter (Hero Arts)

You can't beat pink and red. I get my raspberry fizz tomorrow and can't wait to play with it :) Love, love, love the kraft card base. TFS

My favorites would be a bright pink such as rasbperry fizz and black or pure poppy and black. I just think the colors pop so much when you add black. The cards are beautiful. I also think you can never go wrong with MME papers.
