I love the Damask stamp! I used it to randomly stamp the background. Because I used the same color ink and paper, it gave a much more subtle look. And you may recall that I have made this size of card before (3 x 6 inches). They are cute little cards to make, especially if you own the long rectangle Nestabilities dies.
I have recently finished adhering my unmounted rubber stamps from POD onto mounting foam, which clings to the acrylic block. Because of this, I was easily able to manipulate the stamp to form the flower's curved stem. I then paper pieced the flower and adhered it to the card with foam mounting tape, to give it some lift. And, of course, no card is complete without some satin ribbon - my fav!
Although we still have quite a bit of Winter left, I really am starting to get into the Spring-like colors and thoughts of flowers and bunnies. It's still early, I know, but I'm ready to warm up a little! And now this is about the time my friend, Hollie, comments to give me an update on the weather in Hawaii. Thanks, Hollie, really...

Great card Jen. I have some mounting stuff here too for my stamps. Have only donw a few stamps but love it.
Really cute card. Love the way you bent the sentiment. Never thought about doing that with any stamps other than acrylics. Thanks for the idea.

I'm sorry Jennifer, when I first looked at this blog entry it was in the morning and I just scanned the desription and missed your shout out to me :-) It was actually chilly this morning, I even turned the heat on in my car for 2 minutes. It was only 70! You will be glad to know that it did warm up to a high of 78 (which is quite a bit cooler than we are use to). Stay warm! Also I love the way you put the Lavendar Moon and Plum Pudding together!
