Have you ever bought a pair of shoes knowing full well that you had nothing at home to go with them? Well, that's how I am with ribbon. I buy first, then figure out if I need it later. The answer is probably "no," but I buy it anyway. Then I get home and have to work a card around it!This weekend I got the chance to do a little shopping at one of my favorite places, Impress. I have been going there for years, long before many of my other shopping options existed, and I still really enjoy their unique ideas and simple style of stamping. I bought this black velvet trim and My Mind's Eye patterned paper there. I put it to use with this Halloween card. I can't wait to create some more cards to use the other gorgeous ribbon I bought there!
The witch is from the Spooky Sweets II set from Papertrey Ink. I stamped her on a "moon" I cut out using my Coluzzle. I inked the edges by stippling Pumpkin Pie and Creamy Caramel so that it wouldn't appear to be just a flat circle, but rather "moon like." I decided to pull out my Xyron, something I haven't used in a long time, and gave the moon an all over glitter glow.

Besides working in the ribbon, I'm working on several non-card projects that I'll be sharing soon, all for Guest Star Stamper over at Papertrey Ink. Can't wait to share! Until then...

Love this card. I live in Gresham OR and envy you being close enough to go to Impress. I adore that store. I get to go about twice a year. I also can't pass up ribbon or My Minds Eye paper. Our Craft Warehouse sells some of that line. I can't turn that down either. Thanks for sharing
Wow, I love this card! Your Halloween cards are the best I have ever seen...ever. I just got Paper Craft magazine and none of their Halloween cards compare to any of yours.
