I stopped in at my local scrapbook store today and took a look at what they had in for Fall and Halloween. I picked up a few sheets of this burnt orange Bo Bunny patterned paper and had to get it on a card!
I don't have any Halloween chipboard accents so I made my own, like I did here. I cut out the hat shape from some chipboard that I covered with black cardstock. The hat and brim are two separate pieces. I inked the hat edges in white, so that it would show up much better on the card. The rest of the card is layering, inking and adding spider webs and flourishes around the edges for a little Halloween flair. I got a chance to use my new Spooky Sweets II stamp set from Papertrey Ink on this card...love it! After it was all put together, I Stickled and Stardusted the heck out of it! And I have to say, I love the Orange Peel Stickles! It's hard to show glimmer and shine in a photo, but believe me it's there! Haunty elegance!

You know what I love the most about making Halloween cards? You can make mistakes and they look intentional! I mean, it's Halloween....it's suppose to be grungy and distressed! For instance, the black ribbon I used on this card was too wide for my taste, so I cut it in half. When I did that it started to fray. Perfect!

P.S. Don't forget to leave a comment on the post below, for a chance at some great blog candy! You have until Monday the 15th!

This is stunning Jennifer - you are one talented lady.
I really love everything about this one, but especially the flourishy-spider-webby background ... just wonderful.
