Owl Be Back...Post-it-Note Holder

This is the second item in my Owl Be Back...To School gift ensemble. This post will be much shorter, I promise! I won't go into a lot of detail about this project, as I have done it here and referenced the instructions on Angie Kennedy Juda's blog. She has a great video that you can check out for the step-by-step instructions (and she has a great southern accent!).

I used Basic Grey's Recess patterned paper on this project, as I did with the journal (see below). I covered two pieces of chipboard squares as the main part of the holder.

Once covered, I adhered a piece of cardstock inside that will act as the "hinge" mechanism to open and close the holder. (Again, you can view all the instructions and measurements on Angie's blog.) You can see how it come together, below: For the embellishments on the cover, I again used acetate (transperancy) and chipboard photo corners for the title, and stamped and cut out another owl, as as I did with the journal.

These note holders would make great teachers' gifts, or perfect when you need a "little something." Once you've made your first one, you can put them together fairly quickly. And if you don't have chipboard, try using coasters. They are the perfect size for this project. Next time...bookplate labels and tin.
