Bug Day

I had passed over the Bugs & Kisses stamp set by Stampin' Up! many times, but finally broke down and got it. I knew I wanted it to add to my possibilities for creating kids' birthday cards and gifts. Not to mention I have my own kid who LOVES bugs. But, as usual, the set went unused for many months. Until now! Since July seems to be a slower stamping month for me, I created a spare card for the next kid's birthday party. This card is a square one, 5 in. x 5 in. I dug out some "googlie eyes" I had in my stash (gotta use them when you can!) and added some shimmer with Stickles. You can see the detail in the close up shot (click on the image to view it larger). Now I'm set for the next "bug day!"

Supplies:

Stamps: Bugs & Kisses by SU!
Ink: Jet Black StazOn
Patterned Paper: My Mind’s Eye
Cardstock: Stamper’s Select White by PTI, black
Other: Eyes by Impress, brads, Diamond Stickles by Ranger
